Hi! My name is Vitório Paulo.
I am a Brazilian-American Architect and Designer, and the creator of the Cheese Chair.
The Cheese Chair was first released in 2002, when I was selected as one of the few finalists for the 4th Liceu Design Awards in my hometown, Salvador, Bahia, Brazil.
This was my debut in furniture design—an irreverent, iconoclastic, avant-garde, fashion-forward, iconic, and highly conceptual piece.
It served as a playful instrument to challenge the conservatives and traditionalists of the time.
A mischief to disrupt and shake the status quo.
